Transformer oil tank

The transformer tank is a core shell component of the transformer, serving as a robust and sealed metal container.

Functions: It contains transformer oil and the transformer core and winding assembly, providing them with insulation and mechanical protection; it dissipates the heat generated during transformer operation through its heat-dissipating structure.

It is usually fabricated by welding low-carbon steel plates. Thick steel plates are adopted for large transformers, while thin steel plates or aluminum plates can be used for small-sized ones. Its shape is mostly square or elliptical.
