The core function of a transformer moisture absorber (also known as a respirator) is to filter air, absorb moisture, isolate moisture impurities, and protect the insulation oil and insulation components inside the transformer.

Main functions

When the load of the respiratory balance transformer changes and the oil temperature rises or falls, the volume of oil in the tank expands and contracts due to heat, and it will inhale and exhale; The dehumidifier serves as a breathing channel to balance the internal and external air pressure.

Dry air, moisture-proof and moisture absorbing, internally equipped with color changing silicone gel. Before the external air enters the oil tank, it is first adsorbed by silicone gel to ensure that the air entering the transformer is dry and prevent moisture from entering the oil.

The filter comes with a built-in filter to prevent dust, particles, and debris from entering the transformer oil tank and contaminating the insulation oil.

Preventing insulation aging and moisture from entering will reduce the insulation oil withstand voltage, corrode the winding insulation, accelerate aging, and moisture absorbers will prevent moisture from the source, extending the service life of transformers.
