2.Working Principle

The tap changer switches between different taps by moving the contacts, changing the number of winding turns, and then adjusting the voltage output of the transformer. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Select the tap: Select the required tap position through a manual or automatic controller.

2. Switching contacts: The tap changer moves the contacts to the selected tap to complete the switching of the number of turns.

3. Stable output: After the tap at the new position is stable, the output voltage is adjusted accordingly.
