1、 Main content overview
1. Key points of butterfly valve four corner hole design
Hole spacing and center distance: Reasonable design is required to ensure structural safety.
Distance from hole edge:
The distance between the inclined angle and the butterfly valve edge should not be too close or too far;
For example, if the side length is 160mm, the distance between the centers of diagonal holes is 175mm, and the aperture is 18mm, then the distance from the center of the hole to the edge is 9.13mm.
Difference between upper and lower holes:
The upper hole is circular (diameter 18) and the lower hole is elliptical (length 35mm);
The elliptical hole is only 3.12mm away from the edge, indicating that 'being too close may result in quality issues';
Suggest designing the side length to 175mm to avoid risks.
2. Valve hole number specification
Copper globe valve:
DN15, DN25, DN50: 4 holes;
DN80 and above: 8 holes.
Butterfly valve (circular/square):
Below DN80: 4 holes;
DN100, DN150: 8 holes;
DN200:12 hole.
