Eye Bolt

The lifting eye bolt (commonly called a lifting lug) on a transformer bushing serves as its dedicated, standardized safe lifting point. Its core function is to enable the "safe hoisting" of the bushing.

Specific Roles:

1.  Installation/Removal: As the sole load-bearing point, it is used for crane or hoist attachment to precisely install the heavy, fragile bushing into the transformer tank opening—or safely remove it—in a controlled, vertical manner.

2.  Transport & Fixation:Inside its packing crate, it acts as an anchor point to securely fasten the bushing to the base, preventing damage during transport.

3.  Safety by Design: Its strength rigorously complies with standards (e.g., ANSI), capable of bearing loads several times the bushing's own weight, ensuring hoisting safety.

Key Caution:

The eye bolt is for bushing handling only. It must never be used for lifting the entire transformer or supporting other loads. It is an indispensable standard component for ensuring the safe handling of the bushing throughout its entire lifecycle.
